Job summary

LUC seeks a Consultant Landscape Architect to join our Landscape Planning team in Bristol. You will learn from industry experts and contribute to LVIA, landscape character assessments and planning studies across the UK, with site visits and graphics production.

This graduate/early-career role offers flexible working and the chance to develop within a supportive consultancy. Salary up to £33,500 FTE depending on experience, with hybrid working two days in the Bristol office.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree or post graduate level in a landscape related field.
• Planning, geography or similar qualifications welcomed if you can demonstrate field work knowledge.
• Ability to plan and structure reports clearly and concisely.
• Organised and efficient approach to tight deadlines.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to undertake fieldwork.
• Experience in landscape consultancy or year-out placement is valued.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, WindPRO/Windfarm, AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign; SketchUp knowledge also helpful.
• Interest in developing photography skills for landscape work.

Responsibilities

• Support senior staff on LVIA, EIA and related landscape planning tasks.
• Carry out site assessments and produce graphics and reports.
• Collaborate with LUC and external teams across varied projects.
• Contribute to landscape character assessments and planning studies.
• Travel to sites and client offices across the UK for fieldwork.
