Job summary

Flogas, a national LPG provider, seeks a Junior Installation Engineer to be trained in telemetry installations, repairs, and on-site support for both domestic and commercial customers. You’ll undergo academy training with occasional nights away from home, and you’ll interact with customers while maintaining accurate field paperwork.

The role involves stock control of telemetry units, site surveys, and occasional help to Gas Technicians.

Qualifications

• Driving licence with ≤6 penalty points.
• Experience using hand and power tools on customer sites.
• Strong communication and reporting skills for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Carry out telemetry installations and repairs on customer sites.
• Monitor and control stock of telemetry units.
• Complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Travelling to domestic and commercial sites as required.

How you’ll power our business as a Junior Installation Engineer

As a Fulfilment Technician, you will be trained to carry out telemetry installations & repairs, statutory maintenance, repairs, fault diagnosis, site surveys and occasionally assist the Gas Technicians to install & maintain bulk LPG vessels.

Here what you'll be doing

To learn LGUK Codes of Practice reference siting of gas vessels.

To undergo training at our training academy, this will include nights away from home occasionally.

Have good communications skills as you could interact with both Domestic and Commercial customers when on their sites.

To carry out repairs (non-gas related) on customers’ sites and complete paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

To control stock of telemetry units and follow associated processes.

Willing to spend time away from home to support resolution of defects in other areas (this will only happen on a few occasions over the year and be restricted to Monday to Thursday.

What we’ll need from you

Driving license (no more than 6 penalty points)

Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and smaller power tools

Accuracy, both in terms of work completed in the field, paperwork submitted and stock control processes (using tablet or laptop).

Good communication skills – you will be representing Flogas on customer sites
