Job summary

Clyde & Co in Southampton is seeking a Junior Associate to join our Tier 1 Healthcare team. The role focuses on complex clinical negligence matters, with exposure to high-value cases and cross-border work across our global platform.

You will develop technical skills in drafting, advising on claims, and liaising with clients, while benefiting from a nurturing, agile hybrid environment and a supportive pathway to qualification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience preferred (PQE).
• Strong legal skills and initiative.
• Significant experience in defended clinical negligence and high-value matters.
• Experience working within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

• Apply strong legal principles to complex problems.
• Draft and interpret complex legal documents.
• Advise on claims involving breaches of professional standards.
• Liaise with clients and witnesses; conduct negotiations.
• Assist in seminars, publications and client events.
• Develop cross-selling opportunities and understand client objectives.
