Job summary

Clyde & Co is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Tier 1 Healthcare team in Southampton. The role focuses on complex clinical negligence matters and high-value disputes for a global client base.

The successful candidate will bring extensive PQE, strong litigation instincts, and a proven track record in healthcare litigation, with the ability to manage a demanding caseload and contribute to client-focused initiatives.

Qualifications

• PQE of at least 6 years; strong legal capabilities.
• Ability to manage a full, varied caseload with initiative.
• Experience in defended clinical negligence and multimillion-pound matters.
• Experience in the healthcare sector.
• Must hold a practising certificate under the Solicitors Act 1974.
• Completed Training Contract and relevant education (LPC/GDL; 2:1+; A Levels).

Responsibilities

• Apply strong technical skills and legal principles to complex problems.
• Draft and interpret complex legal documents with specialist knowledge.
• Advise and counsel on claims involving breaches of professional standards.
• Conduct legal discussions and liaise with clients and witnesses.
• Present at seminars, write for publications and host client events.
• Prepare court documents and identify opportunities for new or follow-on work.
