An exciting opportunity has opened up at a dynamic design studio specialising in book publishing. Working with industry-leading publishers, this studio is seeking a talented Junior Graphic Designer.Since their inception 21 years ago, the company has primarily serviced the fun and energetic world of book publishing. They have built an impressive and regular client base of industry leaders such as Penguin, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Hachette and Bloomsbury to name a few, and they pride themselves on being trusted by the industry and on the reputation they have built within it for both quality and efficiency.

About the Role:
As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will be an integral part of our collaborative, multi-disciplined design team and you will work across a wide variety of projects and with a reactive work ethic.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, as well as a knowledge of the Adobe suite and Microsoft software.
It would also be an excellent opportunity for anyone with a passion for books and literature, and anyone with an eagerness to develop their design skills.
Key Requirements/Responsibilities:
– A degree in Graphic Design or similar
– A strongportfolio showcasing a good understanding of design, including typography and layout.
– Enthusiastic interest in design.
– A proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop as these will be your main tools, as well as some knowledge of the rest of the Adobe CC (Illustrator, Acrobat etc).
– Good communication skills (our designers are client-facing)
– Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
– Willingness to travel to SW London daily.
– Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
-Degree/diploma in Graphic Design or related field.
-1–2 years of design experience (internships/freelance acceptable).
-Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; Figma knowledge is a plus.
-Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and design skills
