Amentum is seeking a motivated Junior Geophysicist to join the Subsurface Solutions team in the Earth and Environmental Operations Area. You will bridge data collection and engineering solutions, supporting environmental, defence and energy projects in a hybrid role involving fieldwork, processing, and reporting.

We require a degree in Geophysics, Geology, or Civil Engineering (MSc preferred) with 2+ years' experience, expertise in GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) and geophysical processing software.

Qualificações

• Degree in Geophysics, Geology or Civil Engineering (MSc preferred).
• 2+ years in a commercial engineering or environmental geophysics environment.
• Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) and geophysical processing software.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support geophysical surveys using in-house equipment (ERI, GPR, EM, HVSR).
• Assist in design of survey programmes to identify subsurface risks and integrate with geoenvironmental teams.
• Support third‑party onshore surveys (MASW, 2D, cross‑hole) with field supervision.
• Support third‑party near‑shore marine surveys (SBP, Magnetometer, 2D) with supervision.
• Process field data into models using software (Res2DInv, Geolitix) and interpret 2D/3D seismic datasets (IHS Kingdom).
• Prepare technical reports with high-quality visualisations and clear recommendations.
• Maintain field equipment and uphold Health & Safety standards on-site.
