Job summary

Ashridge House is seeking a Junior Gardener / Gardener (dependent on experience) to join the garden team at Ashridge House. You will gain hands-on experience maintaining and restoring the historic grounds, including lawns, hedges, and day-to-day grounds maintenance.

The right candidate should have gardening experience, be confident with garden machinery, and enjoy working in a lively pace with an eye for detail in a creative, flexible environment in all weather.

Qualifications

• Experience in gardening with hands-on work.
• Confident in using a variety of garden machinery.
• Passion for the outdoors and a high standard of finish.
• Willing to work in all weathers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns and hedges.

Awonderfulopportunity hasarisenfor a keen gardenertoworkwith thegarden’steam at Ashridge House.You will gain hands on experience ofmaintainingandrestoring thebeautiful,GradeII*,historic grounds.Therole will consist of all aspects of grounds maintenance varying from:lawn maintenance, hedge cutting,propagation,pruningand general day to daygrounds maintenance.

We are looking for someone withgardeningexperiencewho isconfident in the use of a variety of garden machinery.The right candidate should have apassion for gardening and enjoy working at a lively pace withaneye for detail and should be excited to work in acreative,flexibleenvironmentin all weathers.
