Job summary

Islamic Relief Worldwide is seeking a Junior Fundraiser to support regional fundraising and community engagement, delivering events, campaigns and collections while building relationships with volunteers and supporters to sustain humanitarian work. Qualifications

• Experience of working in a similar role or within a customer-focused environment.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering effective support in line with organisational aims and objectives.
• Proven experience of successfully working under pressure, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines within a busy environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the local region and community.
• Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to coordinate events and activities whilst managing competing priorities.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and develop positive working relationships with colleagues, volunteers and supporters.
• Excellent communication skills, including speaking, presenting, listening and written communication.
• A high standard of numeracy with the ability to accurately record financial information and work within established procedures and regulations.
• The ability to represent Islamic Relief professionally in a wide range of situations and settings.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• The ability to handle confidential information sensitively and appropriately.
• A proactive, flexible and adaptable approach to work within a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter) and Snapchat.
• Strong motivation and empathy towards the aims and objectives of the organisation.
• A reliable and professional approach to work.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and travel where required.
