Hello, we’re ICE – Industrial Cleaning Equipment. We are seeking a Junior Finance Assistant for a 40-hour week, Mon-Fri, in our Finance Department. The role is 100% office-based at Sauber House with a salary of £27,000 plus benefits.

You will gain hands-on experience across Credit Control, Accounts Payable and Financial Reporting, helping to improve processes and maintain accurate records. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential.

This is a permanent role (40 hours a week) working Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm within our Finance Department.

What part will you play?

As a Junior Finance Assistant, you will gain hands‑on experience across key areas of the finance function, working closely with the Credit Control, Accounts Payable and Financial Reporting teams. You will build a broad understanding of finance while helping to improve existing processes and maintain accurate financial records.

• Support the Credit Control team by maintaining customer accounts, reviewing account activity and assisting with ledger analysis
• Support the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing, supplier account administration and responding to supplier queries
• Support cash and banking activities, including daily bank postings and bank reconciliations
• Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to simplify and automate routine tasks
• Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc queries and projects

What we’re looking for

• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a fast‑paced business

• Strong numerical skills with proficiency in Excel
• A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records

Bonus experience

• Studying towards an accounting qualification would be advantageous but not essential
• Strong numerical and data-entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• A proactive attitude and an interest in developing a career within finance.
