ICE – Industrial Cleaning Equipment, 100% office based at Sauber House, is hiring a Junior Finance Assistant. This permanent role (40 hours a week, Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:30pm) in our Finance Department offers a £27,000 salary plus benefits.

You will gain hands-on experience across Credit Control, Accounts Payable and Financial Reporting, supporting ledgers, invoice processing and bank reconciliations while helping to improve processes and maintain accurate records.

What part will you play?

As a Junior Finance Assistant, you will gain hands‑on experience across key areas of the finance function, working closely with the Credit Control, Accounts Payable and Financial Reporting teams. You will build a broad understanding of finance while helping to improve existing processes and maintain accurate financial records.

• Support the Credit Control team by maintaining customer accounts, reviewing account activity and assisting with ledger analysis
• Support the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing, supplier account administration and responding to supplier queries
• Support cash and banking activities, including daily bank postings and bank reconciliations
• Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to simplify and automate routine tasks
• Support the wider finance team with ad‑hoc queries and projects

Requirements

What we’re looking for

You tick each of our three Junior Finance Assistant must‑haves:

• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a fast‑paced business
• Strong numerical skills with proficiency in Excel
• A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records

Bonus experience

• Studying towards an accounting qualification would be advantageous but not essential
• Strong numerical and data‑entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• A proactive attitude and an interest in developing a career within finance.
