Job summary

Horizon Parking Ltd is seeking a Junior Field Technical Surveyor to join our team in Long Eaton with nationwide travel across the UK. You will support field surveys for ANPR and related technology installations, learn surveying techniques and gain hands-on experience under experienced Surveyors.

Training and mentoring will be provided as you develop technical competence, with regular travel and occasional overnight stays required.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, construction, engineering or technical environments.
• Recognised Electrical qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Good understanding of safe working practices and Health & Safety requirements.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
• Positive attitude towards learning and professional development.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out field surveys for ANPR and related technology installations across the UK.
• Collect site measurements, photographs and technical information for planning.
• Assist with assessing electrical infrastructure, power supplies and ducting under supervision of experienced Surveyors.
• Prepare survey notes and supporting documentation for technical reports.
• Support Project Delivery by ensuring survey information is accurate and submitted on time.
• Learn to interpret technical drawings, utility plans and site layouts.
• Develop understanding of ANPR technologies, electrical infrastructure and installation methodologies.
• Support camera fault investigations and signage installations as required.
• Work safely and in compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Build positive relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues while representing Horizon Group.
• Participate in training, mentoring and continuous professional development.
