Role Purpose
As the Horizon Group continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to take ownership of our ANPR project portfolio. As an Installations Project Delivery Manager, you will have end-to-end ownership of the Group's ANPR & CCTV projects, ensuring each site progresses successfully from initial client instruction through surveying, technical design, project delivery and final handover.
Working closely with clients, internal operational teams and external contractors, you will be responsible for ensuring ANPR solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest technical standard.
Based from ourHead Office in Chelmsford, this is a Monday to Friday position, working 40 hours per week excluding a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate is prepared to travel UK wide, visiting clients and Horizon Group office locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete EPS configuration forms to ensure projects are correctly configured prior to mobilisation.
- Coordinate the procurement and delivery of equipment through the Technical Support Team, ensuring materials are available in line with project timescales.
- Arrange and lead pre-start meetings with clients where required, or provide detailed project commencement communications outlining the planned works.
- Prepare Construction Phase Plans (CPPs) in accordance with CDM 2015 requirements.
- Develop project phasing plans to minimise operational disruption and ensure efficient delivery.
- Complete and manage all required permits to work prior to commencement of site activities.
- Obtain, review and upload Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to our portal, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
- Liaise with other delivery partners throughout project delivery, monitoring progress against programme and proactively resolving issues as they arise.
- Work closely with the Programme Manager to reschedule works where necessary due to operational, client or site requirements.
- Manage project snagging, coordinating remedial works through to successful completion.
- Collate project completion documentation and provide completion reports to clients in a timely manner.
- Collect electrical certification and other compliance documentation, ensuring records are uploaded to our Portal.
- Upload project documentation, compliance records and handover information to client portals as required.
- Maintain accurate project records throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring documentation is complete, compliant and readily accessible.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience managing multiple construction, fit-out, infrastructure or technical installation projects simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating projects from mobilisation through to completion and client handover.
- Strong understanding of construction project documentation, including Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), RAMS and permits to work.
- Working knowledge of CDM 2015 and Health & Safety legislation within a construction or infrastructure environment.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, clients and internal teams to successfully deliver projects.
- Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple live projects and competing priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with clients at all levels.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, site layouts and installation documentation.
- High attention to detail with excellent document control and project administration skills.
- Competent using Microsoft Office and project/document management systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide as required.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience delivering ANPR, AIM, CCTV, parking technology or similar infrastructure projects.
- Experience working within retail construction, nationwide rollout programmes or multi-site environments.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Surveying or a related discipline.
- PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or other recognised project management qualification.
- SMSTS, SSSTS or IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
- Experience using document management/compliance systems.
- Membership of a relevant professional body such as CIOB, RICS, CABE or APM.
