Job summary

Guided Talent is seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join the UK’s largest Service and Sales support network in the sheet metal industry. Based in Bristol M5, the role offers extensive field exposure and in-house training.

You will perform routine maintenance, travel to client sites across the area, and uphold strong customer service and professional standards. A pension, private healthcare, full tooling, company car, and 25 days leave are provided.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and well-presented with initiative.
• Strong communication across all levels of the organisation.

Job description

Guided Talent are seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join the largest Service and Sales support network within the UK Sheet Metal Industry. This is a new, permanent, full-time position based within the Service Department in Bristol M5.

The role primarily involves routine planned maintenance of machine tools and associated equipment, offering an excellent opportunity for an engineer to transition into a first-time service role.

Flexibility in working hours and travel will be required to meet the demands of clients across the area, along with a strong emphasis on delivering high standards of customer service and maintaining professional values.

• A suitable engineering qualification, such as an apprenticeship, NVQ level 3 training, or previous experience in the engineering sector with a logical employment pattern.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems (advantageous).
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work.
• Smart and professional presentation.
• Ability to work independently using your own initiative.
• Effective communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
