Job summary

Hiregiant (South West) Ltd in Avonmouth, Bristol, is seeking a Field Service Engineer. You will carry out routine maintenance and breakdowns on crushers and screeners, with site visits across the Southwest and UK. An engineering background and experience with diagnostic tools are required.

We offer an £18–£20 per hour rate, 40-hour weeks, and overtime paid at time and a half. Benefits include training, vehicle, phone, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Plant industry essential.
• NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
• CSCS card holder preferred.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and engine diagnostics.
• Willingness to travel outside the UK for training.
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance and breakdowns on machinery.
• Warranty repairs.
• Damage repairs.
• Site visits across the country.
• Clear and detailed reporting of work on iPad.
• Manage above to ensure 100% recovery.
• Care of company vehicle and reporting of defects.

Hiregiant have an exciting opportunity in Avonmouth, Bristol for a Field Service Engineer to Join a great team of friendly staff with opportunities to progress.

You will be working for a global supplier based in Avonmouth, but covering the Southwest region (M4 corridor Swindon, Gloucester, Cardiff and Devon.

We are looking for someone who has an engineering background, with a technical knowledge ideally working on Crushers and Screeners.

Hours and Pay

• £18.00 to £20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Working Monday to Friday with optional overtime paid at time and a half.
• Working 40 hours per week between usually starting at 8am.

As a Field Service Engineer your role will involve:

• Routine maintenance and breakdowns on machinery
• Warranty repairs.
• Damage repairs.
• Site visits across various areas of the country.
• Clear and detailed reporting of work carried out and repairs necessary on engineer iPad.
• Manage all above to ensure 100% recovery.
• Care of company vehicle and reporting of defects.
• Good communication with customers and other staff.

Requirements

• Strong background in Plant industry essential.
• NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
• CSCS card holder is preferred.
• Experience of diagnostic tools and computer software including Engine diagnostics.
• Ability to thrive and succeed in a busy, ever-changing environment.
• Excellent level of attention to detail and conscientiousness.
• Preferred dealer experience but not essential.
• Must be able to travel outside of the UK to attend manufacturers training courses.
