The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, highly organised, eager to learn and willing to get involved across all areas of the business.

The Role

As Junior Sales & Events Assistant, you will provide day-to-day support to the Head of Sales while working closely with the Operations team to ensure clients and events are managed effectively.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Head of Sales with day-to-day sales activity.
  • Responding to new sales enquiries and assisting with the preparation of proposals and quotations.
  • Maintaining and updating the sales pipeline and CRM system.
  • Following up with prospective and existing clients.
  • Supporting the sales team in converting enquiries into confirmed bookings.
  • Building positive relationships with clients and providing excellent customer service.
  • Assisting with the planning and administration of events.
  • Working closely with the Operations Department to ensure all event requirements are communicated clearly and delivered effectively.
  • Supporting the preparation of event documentation, schedules and client information.
  • Assisting with event set-up, delivery and management where required.
  • Attending events and supporting the wider team to ensure a smooth and successful event.
  • Helping to manage post-event client communication and follow-up.
  • Maintaining accurate client, sales and event records.
  • Supporting the team with general sales, administration and event-related tasks.
Working with Sales & Operations

This is a varied role that provides exposure to the full event journey, from initial enquiry through to event delivery.

You will work closely with the Head of Sales to understand how opportunities are generated, managed and converted, while also working alongside the Operations Department to understand how events are planned and delivered.

This makes the role ideal for someone who wants to develop a broad understanding of the events industry and progress their career within sales and event management.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Proactive, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • A confident and friendly communicator.
  • Professional and comfortable dealing with clients.
  • A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
  • Reliable and willing to take responsibility.
  • Commercially aware and interested in developing sales skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and willing to get involved in different aspects of the business.
  • Passionate about delivering an excellent customer and client experience.
Experience

Office-Based Role

Being office-based provides the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Sales, Operations team and wider business on a daily basis, allowing you to learn quickly and gain hands-on experience across both sales and events.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

28 days' annual leave, including bank and public holidays.
