Job summary

Neuberger is seeking a highly motivated Junior Portfolio Analyst & Trader to join the European Non-Investment Grade Fixed Income Team in London. The role focuses on trade modelling, implementation and execution in European High Yield Bonds and European Leveraged Loans.

You will work under seasoned traders and credit analysts, developing quickly within a growing team, with exposure to multiple credit markets and client-facing activities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years relevant finance experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis proficiency.
• Interest in credit markets and fixed income.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and Aladdin desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support European non-investment portfolio managers and traders in day-to-day tasks.
• Model trades, implement, and execute orders in European High Yield and Leveraged Loans.
• Ensure orders comply with client guidelines; liaise with legal and compliance teams.
• Provide market color commentary to the desk and manage counterparties.
• Collaborate with client service to inform clients and assist business development.
• Attend daily meetings with traders and portfolio managers; coordinate with multiple units.
