Job summary

GVR Solutions in central London is seeking a Junior Estimator to support historic project tendering. You will collate documents, measure drawings, and price rates with the team for client submissions.

You will liaise with subcontractors, build client and supplier relationships, and prepare BOQs while coordinating site visits and presenting tenders to senior management. Training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous construction experience or in construction-based education.
• Keen to develop skills; training offered if required.
• Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Works well in a team but can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collation & review of tender documents to gain a solid project understanding.
• Measurement of technical drawings using CAD & traditional methods.
• Obtain project-specific market rates for materials with the team.
• Liaise with subcontractors to obtain site quotations.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate site visits to understand logistics and constraints.
• Create and prepare bills of quantities / schedules of rates.
• Present tenders for adjudication with senior management.
• Attend client meetings to discuss projects, tenders, and sums.
