Job summary

GVR Solutions are representing a reputable main contractor on the border of East London, seeking a Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team. The role covers New build and refurbishment across High-end Residential, Heritage and Hospitality sectors.

You will work with the board of directors, lead tender and bid activity, produce detailed breakdowns, assess risk and opportunities, secure best-value subcontractor prices, and manage procurement and client communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years previous Estimating experience working within a main contracting environment.
• Experience overseeing tender activity and bid submissions.
• Experience in refurbishment projects is desirable.
• Able to obtain best-value subcontract and supplier prices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all tender and bid activity including pricing, preparation, and submission.
• Provide detailed breakdowns of tenders to directors and clients.
• Analyse risk and opportunity within bids.
• Procure sub-contract works and supplier prices to maximise value.
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, consultants and colleagues up to senior management.

Senior Estimator required in East London

GVR Solutions are currently representing a reputable and very well-established main contractor, based on the boarder of East London, who have entered the market for an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team. The business are looking to recruit someone who is ambitious and wants to progress within the business.

As a main contractor they provide New build and refurbishment services to the High-end Residential, Heritage and Hospitality sectors.

Responsibilities of the Senior Estimator:

• Working closely with the board of directors
• Oversee all tender and bid activity including pricing, preparation and submission, ensuring accuracy and quality, from initial enquiry an
• d take-offs
• Provide detailed breakdowns of tenders to directors and clients
• Analysis of risk and opportunity
• Obtain best value sub-contract and supplier prices in order to maximise value for money within secured works
• Procurement of sub-contract works including documentation and compliance
• Effective communication with clients, suppliers, external consultants and colleagues through to senior management.

The Senior Estimator must have/be:

• Minimum 7 years previous Estimating experience working within a main contracting environment.
• A team player
• Previous experience as an Estimator
• Experience working on refurbishment
