Job summary

GVR Solutions is seeking a Junior Estimator to join the commercial team and support the preparation of tenders for drylining, partitioning, ceilings and bespoke joinery packages.

The role involves reviewing drawings and tender docs, taking-off quantities, pricing labour and materials, and liaising with suppliers and clients to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an estimating, quantity surveying or commercial role within construction.
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
• A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist contracting environment.
• The ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders effectively.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

GVR Solutions are working with a specialist drylining and joinery fit-out contractor delivering high-quality projects across the commercial fit out sector.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Junior Estimator to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing estimating experience, or a junior candidate looking to develop their career within a specialist subcontractor.

Working closely with the Senior Estimator and wider commercial team, you will support the preparation of competitive and accurate tenders for a range of drylining, partitioning, ceilings and bespoke joinery packages.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Estimator:
