Job summary

GVR Solutions Ltd in London is seeking a Junior Estimator to support historic restoration projects. You will collate tender documents, measure drawings using CAD and traditional methods, and help establish material rates with suppliers.

You will work with clients, contractors and the wider team to prepare bills of quantities, present tenders to senior management, and negotiate contract sums while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Has previous construction experience or is currently in construction-based education.
• Keen to develop skills; training will be offered if required.
• Self-motivated and driven to succeed; good time management.
• Comfortable using all Microsoft applications and have robust IT literacy.
• Has some experience with estimating software.

Junior Estimator Required in Central London

GVR Solutions are currently representing a building restoration and conservation contractor based in central London, who are seeking an Assistant Estimator join their team on their exciting historical projects across London.

They have built a very solid reputation within the industry and have become a very well-established and growing contractor.

Responsibilities of the Junior Estimator:

• Collation & review of tender documents to gain a solid project understanding
• Measurement of technical drawings using both CAD & traditional measurement methods
• Working amongst our wider team to obtain job specific market rates for materials
• Liaison with business partners and subcontractors to obtain site specific quotations
• Establishing new and building existing relationships with clients / contractors / suppliers
• Coordinate site visits with team members to understand project logistics / constraints
