Job summary

Belmont Talent is seeking a Junior Estimator to join a growing construction/manufacturing business. The role combines estimating with technical drawings, supplier pricing and business development, supporting customers from enquiry through to quotation.

You will develop product knowledge in retaining walls, precast concrete and manufacturing processes while building long-term relationships with customers and suppliers. A proactive, organised approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Some exposure to estimating within construction, manufacturing, precast concrete or building products.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and prepare project quotations.
• Commercial awareness, with an understanding of costs, pricing and profitability.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach to customer service and business development.
• Good organisation, accuracy and the ability to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing the full estimating process, from reviewing enquiries and technical drawings through to preparing accurate, competitive quotations.
• Sourcing and negotiating costs with suppliers and supporting procurement.
• Building relationships with existing customers and developing new business opportunities.
• Responding to customer enquiries, identifying opportunities and providing excellent customer service.
• Developing product knowledge of retaining walls, precast concrete and manufacturing processes.
• Attending customer meetings, site visits and industry events.
