Job summary

Neuberger Berman in London seeks a junior qualified lawyer to support the EMEA legal team on corporate and investment management issues, with a particular emphasis on ESG rules. The role involves liaising with colleagues in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan to implement distribution strategies and manage day-to-day asset management matters.

Qualifications

Up to 2 years PQE in corporate or investment management law.
Experience with ESG-related legislation (SFDR, TCFD a plus).
Familiarity with fund structures and domiciles.
Ability to communicate with cross-border teams.
Strong drafting and research skills.

Responsibilities

Advise the business and coordinate on the impact and implementation of new laws and regulations, with a focus on ESG matters.
Work with the ESG team on updates to internal compliance with ESG legislation.
Ensure ESG-related rules, disclosures and disclaimers are properly incorporated into legal documentation.
Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of legal documentation, including distribution agreements, IMAs, rebate agreements, confidentiality agreements and side-letters.
Liaise with outside counsel as appropriate to assist with legal agreements.
