Job summary

BULKHEAD is seeking a Junior Environment Artist in the United Kingdom to help shape immersive environments. You’ll model and texture game-ready assets and bring concepts to life in UE5 under mentor guidance.

As you grow, you’ll take ownership of assets, learn pipelines, and contribute to scenes with designers and level artists, gaining confidence, consistency, and independence in your work.

Qualifications

• 1+ years industry experience.
• Experience with 3D modelling tools.
• Knowledge of UE4/UE5 workflows.

Responsibilities

• Model and texture game-ready assets that meet project standards, building your eye for composition and the project’s art style.
• Help assemble scenes alongside the team, turning concepts into visual elements with creativity and care.
• Gather and organise reference material, working with growing independence.
• Bring assets into UE5 using established workflows, and learn the best practices for integration and performance.
• Act on feedback to improve the look, efficiency and technical quality of your work.
• Estimate straightforward tasks and hit your deadlines with support from your mentor or Lead.
• Share progress regularly, flag blockers early, and ask for help when you need it.
• Work with Level Designers and Technical Artists to make sure your assets slot in smoothly.
