Job summary

Protec Fire and Security Group, a Bosch Company, is expanding its Nelson head office and seeks a highly motivated Junior Engineer to support production and industrialisation projects. You will work under the Project Lead to plan transfers, assist ramp-ups, and drive lean manufacturing improvements on the shop floor, collaborating with Quality, Logistics, and Purchasing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in modern manufacturing

Qualifications

• University degree (BSc, BEng, or equivalent) in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Lead in planning, coordinating and executing transfer, relocation and industrialization of manufacturing lines.
• Support the physical and technical setup, commissioning and ramp-up of new production lines.
• Contribute to lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
• Help prepare technical documentation, SOPs and project reports.
• Coordinate with Quality, Logistics and Purchasing to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to solve technical issues and support continuous improvement.
