Job summary

Zest4Talent is recruiting a Junior Embodied Carbon Consultant for its Leeds team. In this role you will support Whole Life Carbon Assessments and Life Cycle Assessments, calculate embodied carbon of materials and systems, and help clients understand carbon performance across projects.

Working with architects, engineers and contractors, you will analyse data, review EPDs, and contribute to carbon modelling with One Click LCA or similar software.

Qualifications

• Degree in sustainability, environmental engineering, building services, architecture, construction, quantity surveying or related discipline.
• Understanding of embodied carbon, WLCA or LCA.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Support Whole Life Carbon Assessments and Life Cycle Assessments.
• Calculate embodied carbon for materials and systems.
• Gather, check and analyse project information.
• Assist with carbon modelling using recognised software/databases.
• Review Environmental Product Declarations and material information.
• Compare design solutions and identify carbon-reduction opportunities.
• Prepare technical calculations, reports and presentations.
• Support preparation of circular-economy and sustainability statements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Keep knowledge of carbon standards up to date.
