Job summary

Zest4Talent is partnering with an established multidisciplinary building-services and sustainability consultancy in Glasgow to recruit a Junior Embodied Carbon Consultant.

This role offers exposure to Whole Life Carbon Assessments and Life Cycle Assessments across built projects, with training and progression in a supportive team.

You will work with architects and engineers to analyse data, produce reports and help reduce the carbon footprint of buildings.

Qualifications

• Degree in sustainability or related field.
• Understanding of embodied carbon, WLCA or LCA.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Organised and methodical approach.
• Interest in reducing environmental impact of built environment.
• Experience with One Click LCA or similar software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Whole Life Carbon Assessments and Life Cycle Assessments.
• Calculate embodied carbon of materials, construction processes and building-services systems.
• Gather, review and interpret project data.
• Use carbon-assessment software, databases and EPDs.
• Identify carbon-reduction opportunities by comparing options.
• Produce clear reports, calculations and presentations.
• Support sustainability statements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and design teams.
• Keep up to date with industry standards and carbon guidance.
