Job summary

ZENOVO in Cambridge is seeking a Junior Embedded Software Engineer to join the engineering team on-site. You will develop embedded software for prototype and production systems, using C and MISRA C within a regulated environment.

You will collaborate with software, systems and hardware engineers throughout the full lifecycle, contributing to safe and robust electronic control systems. The role requires at least 1 year of experience outside university or a sandwich year, with graduates also

Qualifications

• Experience developing embedded software within a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of MISRA C and embedded software development best practices.
• Experience with 32-bit CPUs, FPUs, interrupts, peripherals and real-time programming.
• Experience developing device drivers.
• Understanding of software development, testing and quality processes.
• Experience with communication and development tools, such as Vector tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for prototype and production systems.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through to implementation, testing and deployment.
• Develop embedded C software and reusable libraries/components across multiple products.
• Plan and execute software testing, verification and validation activities.
• Collaborate closely with software, systems and hardware engineering teams in an agile environment.
• Follow and contribute to engineering, quality, safety and cybersecurity processes and standards.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to continuous improvement of development and testing processes.
