Job summary

ZENOVO in Worcestershire is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. You will work across the full electronics development lifecycle, from architecture and circuit design through prototyping, verification and production.

This hybrid role (3 days onsite) offers ownership of new product development while supporting existing products, collaborating with software, product and manufacturing to deliver robust electronic products.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of electronics design and development experience.
• Strong analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics experience.
• Advanced Altium Designer skills for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience taking products through full lifecycle from concept to production.
• Strong hardware verification, validation and testing knowledge.
• Experience with component selection, derating and obsolescence management.
• Experience with CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Ethernet.
• Experience with EMC, safety and environmental compliance.
• Strong fault-finding and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with PLM or version-control systems.
• Independent working with collaboration in teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, verify and support electronic hardware across new and existing products.
• Define electronic architectures and develop practical design solutions.
• Produce schematics, PCB layouts and manufacturing documentation using Altium Designer.
• Manage component libraries, design standards and engineering processes.
• Support prototype builds, design reviews, product introduction and manufacturing.
• Carry out and support verification, validation, EMC and environmental testing.
• Investigate and resolve hardware, production and field issues through root-cause analysis.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and internal processes.
• Support project planning, estimation and delivery of electronics projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve engineering processes and best practice.
