Join a nationally based, MEP design consultancy with over 50 years of experience, associated with renowned brands and prestigious engineering projects across the UK.

They offer high-quality Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and Environmental engineering solutions for a variety of projects, including large new builds, renovations, and bespoke environmental designs across sectors such as commercial, education, leisure, residential, and retail.

They are seeking to add a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to their team in Bexley.

Responsibilities include:

• Electrical services design, including LV design, cable sizing, lighting, lighting controls, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and security systems.
• Developing concept, feasibility, and detailed design proposals with specifications, drawings, and calculations.
• Using DIALux lighting and Amtech electrical software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, with some knowledge of Revit or a willingness to learn.
• MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues, clients, and contractors during meetings.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical building services design within the UK industry.
• Knowledge of UK design legislation and guidance.

Knowledge & Experience required:

• 1-3 years of electrical services design experience.
• Knowledge of DIALux and Amtech software.
• HNC/HND in building services or electrical engineering, or equivalent degree.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages.
