Junior Electrical Design Engineer

Are you an enthusiastic Junior Electrical Design Engineer with a flair for design and development? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering company specialising in the development of bespoke electromechanical systems for a wide range of applications.

Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll be involved in projects from concept through to delivery. This hands-on role offers variety and the opportunity to grow your skills in electrical analysis, test equipment development, and compliance with safety and legislative standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer:

• Interpret customer specifications and define electrical design requirements.

• Create and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical tables, and test documentation.

• Support the design and validation of bespoke electromechanical assemblies.

• Conduct electrical testing and analysis to ensure product performance and compliance.

• Design and build electrical test fixtures, harnesses, and jigs.

• Develop and document test methods and procedures.

• Support off-site testing and qualification activities when required.

• Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.

• Collaborate with internal teams including mechanical design, production, and quality.

• Assist with training junior team members or apprentices when needed.

Skill-set of the Junior Electrical Design Engineer:

• Degree-qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

• Passionate about practical, hands-on engineering and solving complex problems.

• Some experience with electrical testing, wiring, or CAD (placement or academic).
