Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is recruiting an Electrical Engineer in London for a hybrid role. You will shape electrical building services across commercial projects, mentored by Directors and senior engineers, gaining exposure to client meetings and project delivery.

This position requires experience in building services consultancy and a proactive, collaborative approach. You will work closely with a team developing an AI platform for the built environment while expanding your technical horizon through

Qualifications

• 18+ months of Building Services Consultancy experience.
• Experience producing electrical building services designs for commercial projects.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Experience using industry-standard design software.
• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and proactive problem solving.
• Ambition to progress toward senior engineer level.

Electrical Engineer

We're partnering with an ambitious and innovative building services consultancy that's challenging the traditional consultancy model. Working across the commercial property sector, they provide MEP engineering, technical due diligence, refurbishment, decarbonisation and advisory services for developers, investors, asset managers and occupiers.

Innovation is a key part of the business. Alongside delivering high-quality engineering solutions, they're developing their own AI platform specifically for the built environment, designed to improve project delivery, streamline engineering processes and help clients make smarter, data-driven decisions.

Unlike larger consultancies, you'll work directly with Directors and senior engineers from the outset. The Role

This role is ideal for an Electrical Engineer with previous building services consultancy experience who wants to broaden their project exposure and continue developing technically.

You’ll support the design and delivery of electrical building services projects across a range of commercial developments, working closely with experienced engineers while taking on increasing responsibility as your career progresses.

Please note: This is not a graduate position. Applicants must already have experience working within a building services consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• A minimum of 18 months' experience within a Building Services Consultancy (essential).
• Experience producing electrical building services designs for commercial projects.
• A good understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Experience using industry-standard design software.
• A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• The ambition to continue developing towards senior engineer level.

This opportunity is not suitable for graduates or candidates without previous Building Services Consultancy experience. Applications from candidates without relevant industry experience will not be considered.
