Job summary

Beeby Anderson Recruitment is looking for a Graduate (+1)/Junior Electrical Engineer to join a reputable building services consultancy in the Camden Town area. You will conduct surveys, perform design calculations, and prepare drawings and specifications while supporting senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in a building services consultancy.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (or HNC/HND with strong design experience).
• Confident client-facing communication.
• Experience with design software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out survey work and site inspections.
• Producing design calculations (hand-calcs and software modelling).
• Preparing drawings and technical specifications.
• Writing technical reports.
• Supporting senior engineers with problem-solving and design solutions.
• Building strong client relationships alongside senior management.

Privately owned, award‑winning building services consultancy that has been delivering first‑class engineering solutions since 1987. With a team of 60 multi‑disciplinary Building Services and Sustainability Engineers, they’ve built a reputation for excellence and steady, sustainable growth.

They are looking to bring a Graduate (+1)/ Junior Electrical Engineer into the team to work on some of the UK’s most prestigious high‑end residential and hotel developments.

Role:

• Carrying out survey work and site inspections
• Producing design calculations (hand‑calcs and software modelling)
• Preparing drawings and technical specifications
• Writing technical reports
• Supporting senior engineers with problem‑solving and design solutions
• Building strong client relationships alongside senior management

Requirements:

• 1–3 years’ experience within a building services consultancy
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (or HNC/HND with strong design experience)
• Confident client‑facing communication
• Experience with design software such as Microsoft Office, Amtech, Dialux/Relux
• Strong understanding of British Standards and Building Regulations
• Knowledge of HTMs is a bonus
• Professional membership (CIBSE, IMechE, IET)
