Job summary

Linea Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join the London-based design team. You will assist in delivering electrical building services from concept to construction on high-profile commercial and residential projects.

The role offers exposure to data centres, commercial fit-outs, and high-end developments with strong training and career growth potential in a contractor environment.

Qualifications

• A degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Ideally 1–3 years' experience within an MEP contractor or Building Services consultancy.
• Good understanding of electrical building services design.
• Experience using AutoCAD, with Revit experience advantageous.
• Knowledge of electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux or Relux would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical building services systems including lighting, small power, LV distribution, fire alarms, security and data installations.
• Produce design calculations, technical reports and specifications.
• Prepare and develop drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical engineers, architects, consultants and project delivery teams.
• Attend design meetings and site visits as required.
• Support project delivery through all RIBA design stages and into construction.
• Ensure designs comply with current regulations, British Standards and client requirements.
