Job summary

Blacksmith Store is a UK based menswear retailer focused on affordable, durable goods for daily wear. We are seeking a Junior Design Assistant to join our Northamptonshire team, supporting CAD work, branding and digital content alongside a small, collaborative team.

You will translate briefs into high-quality artwork, with a keen eye for fashion and branding. A hands-on, proactive mindset and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Experience creating and amending CAD drawings and technical illustrations.
• Strong attention to detail and good presentation.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow briefs and brand guidelines.
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and amend product CADs and technical drawings.
• Prepare and maintain product guides with accuracy.
• Create and update labels, swing tags, packaging and branded materials.
• Produce product linesheets, catalogues, lookbooks and presentations.
• Prepare artwork for marketing campaigns and digital content.
• Support website updates with imagery, banners and content.
• Resize and prepare artwork for print and digital use.
• Adapt existing brand assets to brand guidelines.
• Maintain design files, templates and product documentation.
• Provide general design support to the wider team.
