Job summary

Glendale Creative Limited in Dartford is seeking a Junior Design Apprentice to support the design team with day-to-day artwork updates and studio workflow. This entry-level role offers exposure to briefs, feedback, and deadlines in a busy studio.

Based in Eynsford (Dartford), the apprenticeship runs 15 months with Content Creator Level 3. Training covers on-the-job and off-the-job learning, with potential for full-time employment after completion.

Junior Design Apprentice role in a busy creative studio supporting designers with artwork updates, print/digital asset prep, file management and production admin. In-studio Mon–Fri, 37.5 hrs/week. Based in Eynsford (Dartford). Salary £17,550.

About the role

Glendale Creative is a multi-disciplined creative studio with 20+ years’ experience delivering high-quality design and advertising work for global clients across print, digital and physical spaces.

We’re looking for a Junior Design Apprentice to join the studio and support the design team with day-to-day artwork updates and studio workflow. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to learn how a creative studio runs, build confidence using design tools, and develop strong habits around briefs, feedback and deadlines.

You will support with:

• Updating existing artwork/design files using clear briefs and guidance
• Helping prepare artwork and assets for print-ready and digital-ready use (exports, formats, specs)
• Supporting print/merchandise production tasks (liaising with suppliers, tracking progress)
• Researching creative references and suppliers to support briefs
• Keeping file structures tidy with good naming, version control and easy handover
• Supporting quality checks so assets are supplied correctly
• Job-linked admin such as organising couriers, tracking deliveries, and updating the Glendale PMS
• Learning how to plan and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines in a commercial studio

As confidence grows, there may be opportunities to support client event delivery (checklists/logistics) and further develop Adobe skills across layout, typography and image editing.

Entry requirements (include personal qualities)

• Right to work in the UK
• Eligible for a Level 3 apprenticeship and not already completed the same (or higher) apprenticeship content
• Able to travel to the studio location in Eynsford (Dartford) for Monday–Friday in-studio working
• Genuine interest in design and how creative studios work
• Organised, reliable and detail-focused
• Clear communicator (written and verbal) and comfortable taking feedback
• Positive attitude, coachable and eager to learn
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with support
• Proactive, adaptable and willing to take on new challenges
• Any portfolio work (school/college/personal projects)
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

Training to be provided

You will complete the Content Creator Level 3 Apprenticeship with Creative Alliance. Training will include on-the-job and off-the-job learning to build skills in creating content for different audiences/channels, planning and producing content to a brief, brand/tone of voice, accessibility and inclusive communication, measuring performance, and safe/professional digital practice.

Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from industry. You will finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience and the opportunity for continued career progression.

Things to consider

In-studio role in Eynsford (Dartford), Monday–Friday. You’ll support studio admin to deadlines, keeping records and project info accurate, and responding to the Studio Director/team. Includes couriers/deliveries, filing and PMS updates, plus occasional events or off-site support where travel may be needed.
