Job summary
Arborvitae Care Services is seeking a dedicated Junior Deputy Manager to support Registered Managers in leading our children’s homes. You will help deliver safe, compassionate care, lead staff, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and regulatory frameworks.
Required are Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care, Level 5 Leadership & Management in Children’s Residential Care (or progression), plus at least 1 year in a deputy role. A Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
Qualifications
- Candidate must hold Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care.
- Level 5 Leadership & Management in Children's Residential Care or willingness to work towards.
- At least 1 year in a deputy/senior role in a children's residential setting.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of Ofsted regs & DoLS.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour in young people (EBD).
Responsibilities
- Assist staff in day-to-day home management and provide leadership.
- Implement and adhere to Children’s Homes Regulations and SCCIF.
- Support staff to ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
- Safeguarding, risk assessments and care plan updates.
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams, families and professionals.
- On-call duties to provide safeguarding escalation support.
