About the role:

This role sits within the Exile Group’s Data team, supporting all three of our brands: TXF, Proximo, and Uxolo. The new hire will provide essential support to the Head of Data, helping to manage, grow, and present our data products - with a particular focus on Proximo or Uxolo.

This is a junior level role suited to someone with a strong interest in data analysis and visualisation, combined with a willingness to take on a client facing element. You’ll support client reporting, build dashboards that help extract value from our data and assist journalists in telling compelling stories using our datasets. Additionally, you’ll help develop strategies for capturing and classifying data, including using data scraping tools and machine learning where appropriate.

In time, the goal is for this person to become the go to expert for one of our brands, working closely with clients, the internal data team, and editorial staff to ensure data quality, manage submissions, create presentations (using tools like PowerBI), and deliver insights directly to customers.

About you:

We are looking for someone who brings initiative, curiosity and a proactive attitude - someone who is comfortable working independently and keen to take responsibility of varied tasks. Alongside strong data knowledge, you’ll need to be a confident communicator who’s comfortable presenting work and, over time, stepping into a client facing role. The ability to manage products and build trusted relationships with clients will be key as the role evolves.

Key Responsibilities

●Design, build and maintain data dashboards for internal and external use

●Update and manage data across report templates in collaboration with the editorial team

●Support client interactions, including the creation of advanced tailored data reports in Excel

●Provide data support across departments, including editorial, research, and events

●Develop and deliver clear, engaging data presentations for both internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g. clients, event audiences)

●Support and maintain data scraping tools and processes

Core Requirements:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

●Advanced knowledge of PowerBI and Excel

●Experience with database extractions using SQL and relational databases

●Basic proficiency in PowerPoint

●Familiarity with Python, particularly libraries like Pandas and Sklearn, is highly desirable

●Strong communication and presentation skills

●Confidence and willingness to engage in client facing interactions

●Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and clients

●Keen attention to detail and strong problem solving abilities

The job holder will do all the above tasks within his/her level of skill and ability

Location:
