Job summary

Leyland SDM is seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst in Wembley to transform data into insights, build Power BI dashboards, and support business reporting. You will develop data-driven solutions while gaining hands-on experience with Power BI, Excel, and data modelling.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, clear technical documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet reporting requirements.

Qualifications

Experience with Power BI, including data modeling and DAX fundamentals.
Advanced Excel skills: formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, data modelling.
Strong logical thinking, analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to break down complex problems into structured steps and solutions.
Ability to produce clear, well-organised technical documentation.
Good understanding of data structures, relationships, and reporting principles.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualisations.
Design, build and maintain Excel reports.
Troubleshoot data issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation including data models, flows, rules and processes.
Validate data quality, investigate discrepancies, and help improve data accuracy.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to ensure reporting solutions meet requirements.
