Job summary

Terberg DTS in Elland is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to turn data into insights that support business performance. You’ll play a key role in creating reporting packages, data models, and dashboards that help drive smarter decision-making across the organisation.

You’ll work closely with managers and stakeholders from multiple departments. The ideal candidate is curious, highly analytical, and proficient with Excel, Power BI, and data visualisation tools.

Qualifications

A-Level Mathematics (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
GCSE English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
Proficiency with Excel and Power BI preferred.

Responsibilities

Create reporting packages and data models using Excel, Power Query, PowerPoint and Power BI.
Transform raw data into meaningful insights that support business decisions.
Develop dashboards and visual reports to improve visibility of performance.
Maintain and enhance existing reporting packages and data models.
Collaborate with managers to understand reporting requirements.
Present findings and insights in a clear, engaging way.
Validate, cleanse, and maintain data for reporting accuracy.
Support data-led process improvements.

You'll play an important role in supporting business performance through the analysis of complex data sets, the creation of insightful reports, and the development of dashboards that help drive smarter decision-making across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

Creating reporting packages and data models using Excel, Power Query, PowerPoint and Power BI.
Transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support business decisions.
Developing dashboards and visual reports to improve visibility of business performance and operational processes.
Maintaining, enhancing, and streamlining existing reporting packages and data models.
Working closely with department managers and supervisors to understand reporting requirements.
Providing data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
Presenting findings and analytical insights in a clear and engaging way.
Validating, cleansing, and maintaining data to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
Assisting with the development of data-led solutions that improve efficiency and performance.
Building strong working relationships with colleagues across all departments.

Some knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL.
