Job summary

Jaguar TCS Racing in the United Kingdom seeks a Junior Control Systems Engineer to support the development and testing of test hardware and vehicle control systems for world-class race programs.

You will work within the Controls Group to develop test hardware, processes and procedures, and may travel to race and test events to support powertrain development. Strong organizational skills and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent.
• BEng in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Be highly organised and comfortable working under pressure.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible attitude to working hours.
• Follow and enforce health and HV policies.

Responsibilities

• Support development and testing of the in-house test rig and vehicle control hardware and software.
• Collaborate with Controls and Systems Engineers to meet and summarise test requirements.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for safe operation of test hardware.
• Occasionally travel to race and test events to support powertrain development.

An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Control Systems Engineer to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

About the role

Working within the Controls Group to support the on-going development of our test hardware, processes and procedures. With the sole aim of supporting the delivery of a world-class product to our race programs.

What you will do

• Support the development and testing of our in-house test rig and vehicle control hardware and software;
• Work with the Controls and Systems Engineers to ensure the test requirements are achieved and summarised;
• Write and maintain technical documentation to support the safe and efficient operation of test hardware;
• Available to travel to race and test events on an occasionally basis to support the development of our powertrain hardware.

About you

• GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Further education including BEng in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Be highly organised and comfortable working under pressure.
• Have clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible attitude to working hours.
• To follow and actively enforce the company’s health and Safety and HV policies.
