Job summary

SSE plc in Scotland is hiring a Junior Contract Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial team, supporting the HVDC programme. Based from Glasgow or Perth, you’ll spend roughly 50% of your week in the office.

This is a permanent, full-time role with a competitive salary and benefits package. You will assist in negotiating contract terms, drive cost reporting and forecasting, and provide post‑contract commercial management to major projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
• Membership of RICS or CICES preferred.
• Experience estimating, cost & budget management, contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contract terms and manage delivery phase with value for money.
• Conduct cost reporting and forecast management.
• Manage post‑contract commercial activities and variations.
• Ensure compliance with SSENT Commercial Manual principles.
• Promote safety policies and practices on site.
