Job summary

SSE plc invites applications for a Junior Contract Manager to support the Procurement and Commercial team on HVDC projects within SSE Transmission. The role will provide pre and post contract procurement and commercial support on large-scale energy infrastructure programmes.

The successful candidate will be based from a Scottish location, spending about 50% of the week in the office at Glasgow or Perth. It is a permanent, full-time role with a flexible first approach and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience in estimating, sourcing management, cost & budget management, and contract administration.
• Experience with NEC/FIDIC forms of contract advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support P&C Manager in negotiating contract terms for high-value projects.
• Negotiate prices and ensure value for money for consumers.
• Maintain cost reporting and change management procedures.
• Provide post-contract commercial management for project goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and SSENT Commercial Manual.
