Comton Group in Redditch is offering an opportunity for an apprentice-trained engineer to become a Cold Heading Setter / Operator Trainee. The program covers setting and operating cold heading machines that produce copper and silver bonded rivets, with hands-on mentoring over 12–18 months.

You will gain specialist skills, progress to running multiple machines, perform tooling maintenance and product inspection, and pursue a long-term career in a well-established manufacturing business.

Qualifikationen

• Apprenticeship in engineering or machining with Level 2 or 3 qualification.
• Machining/manufacturing background with practical hands-on skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to follow procedures and work safely.

Aufgaben

• Learn to set and operate specialist cold heading machines.
• Manufacture contact rivets to required quality standards.
• Maintain and care for machine tooling.
• Carry out product inspections for quality and accuracy.
