Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is recruiting for a Junior Service Technician to train on CNC/PLC controls and work nationwide across the UK. The role includes a company car, full training, overseas opportunities and progression, with a 40-hour week and field-based travel from Banbury.

You will service, repair and install state‑of‑the‑art CNC machines, after initial training, with opportunities to visit Spain for induction and development. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to fault-find electrical and mechanical systems on CNC/PLC machinery.
• Willingness to travel UK-wide and stay away when required.
• Basic understanding of Fanuc control systems or similar CNC controls.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites around the UK, typically within 3 hours of home.
• Occasional overnight stays for larger jobs.
• Receive funded courses and induction training in Spain.
• Opportunities to cover international subsidiaries in Europe and America.
