Job summary
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint Junior Clinical Fellow in Stroke/Neuro to join our team to cover vacancy. The appointment is to commence on 6th August 2025 for a fixed term period of 12 months.
This post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognised as a 'training post', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required.
The duties of this post are equivalent to Foundation Year 2 / Core Trainee level.
Main duties of the jobBased at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, the Clinical Neuroscience service caters to South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Lincolnshire, and North Nottinghamshire, serving over 2.2 million people. It encompasses Neurology, Neurosurgery, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Neurophysiology.
As the Trust's first Academic Directorate, the unit emphasizes research, structured around seven themes: neurodegeneration, cerebrovascular (including stroke), neuroinflammation, epilepsy, neuro-oncology, neurophysiology, and industry/commercial research. These activities are led by research theme leaders and the Academic Director.
