Job Overview

This is a new and exciting opportunity to join the Salford Community Stroke and Neuro Team as a part-time, highly specialist B7 Dietitian.

We seek an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to lead and develop the dietetic service within the team, working alongside our strong senior leadership. Our team is highly supportive, emphasizing staff wellbeing to enable you to perform at your best.

The CSNRT focuses on patient-led care, equitable access, and placing patients at the center of our work.

Our Team

We are a broad multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Dietitians, Nurses, Psychologists, Therapy Instructors/Senior Assistants, Social Workers, and Administrative Support.

We are a Green NCA status team committed to high-quality, patient-centered care and continuous improvement.

Main Duties

• Lead and develop dietetic services for neurology patients, with experience in acute and community settings, especially stroke and neurorehabilitation.
• Supervise staff and students within dietetics and the wider MDT.
• Engage in service development, quality improvement projects, and team leadership.
• Work across various settings including patients’ homes, clinics, and care homes.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive neurology experience, preferably in stroke and neurorehabilitation.
• Postgraduate training in relevant areas.
• Experience supervising dietetic staff and students.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamworking skills.
• Experience in service improvement, audit, and quality methodologies.
• IT proficiency and ability to cover the geographical area in Salford.
