To assist the Consultant in the running of outpatient clinics. This includes examining new patients, reviewing patients, and carrying out local anaesthetic surgical procedures under the Consultant's supervision. The role also involves pre- and post-operative clerking and management of inpatients and day case patients. The postholder will attend operating sessions in main theatres and the day case unit, assisting and operating under supervision. Additionally, the role involves seeing emergency patients referred by the Accident & Emergency department and other hospital departments. SHO/Trust Doctors rotate weekly, providing prospective cover for colleagues. Night duties after 10 pm are not currently part of this role.

Junior Clinical Fellow in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
We are offering a 12-month Fixed Term Junior Clinical Fellow position to enthusiastic clinicians with relevant experience and qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity to join our expanding department. The postholder will work within the Royal Free's Maxillofacial service across three main sites in north London: Barnet, Chase Farm, and Edgware Hospitals. You will be part of a team of nine junior doctors providing a 1 in 9 first on-call service in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The appointee will participate fully in the department's educational and training programs. Candidates must be fully GMC registered and ideally have experience in the specialty.
Please note: This role falls under the 2002 Hospital Medical and Dental staff terms and conditions, with a salary on the MN39 pay scale. It is a trust grade role, not a recognized training position.

Salary: £49,909 per annum, including London Weighting.
