Charing Cross Hospital is a tertiary referral centre for oncology, head and neck surgery, and neurosurgery, as well as providing general services to the local population. The department is busy, friendly, and fully accredited for training in Intensive Care Medicine. The hospital benefits from excellent transport links and easy access to Central London. As part of Imperial College University, ranked 9th worldwide and top in the UK for critical care research, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust was recently featured on the BBC documentary series "Hospital".
Applicants must have GMC registration and have completed foundation training or equivalent postgraduate training. The applicant must have successfully completed (or be in the process of completing) postgraduate examinations. This post is suitable for an SHO level applicant or someone seeking ICU experience in a teaching hospital prior to specialty training. Overseas applicants are welcome, and the post may be available for Tier 2 visa holders.

The successful applicant will join a team of junior doctors and consultants providing ICU cover. You will be part of the resident rota caring for ICU patients. All junior doctors are encouraged to participate in research and audit activities. The rota complies with the new junior doctor contract.

Salary: £41,750 - £61,833 per annum plus London Weighting Allowance, depending on experience.
