Position: Junior Civil Engineer (Highways / Drainage)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Hybrid working + Mentoring + Flexibility + Progression + Autonomy + Overtime + Annual Salary Review

Location: Gateshead

Are you a Civil Engineer with experience in design and project management looking for an exciting opportunity with excellent progression prospects and a healthy work-life balance through hybrid working? This consultancy specializes in civil and structural design for residential and commercial construction, and is one of the leading independent firms in the North East. They serve clients including Parker Hannifin, Go-Ahead, and Wellstream.

Join a friendly team where you will be mentored to lead your own projects and designs from the start. You will organize your workload to meet project deadlines and report regularly to the team of directors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing drainage and flood risk assessments
2. Collaborating with the architectural team to produce comprehensive building project designs
3. Managing projects and deadlines
4. Designing roads and sewers
5. Commercial and industrial drainage design
6. Preparing flood risk statements and assessments
7. Earthworks ground modeling

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working in civil engineering
• HNC qualification or higher
• Understanding of civil engineering software such as MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, Causeway PDS, AutoCAD, Civils 3D
• Full UK driving license
