Soho House is seeking a Commis Chef to support the kitchen brigade, develop culinary skills and uphold the Club's standards. You will assist across kitchen sections, prepare food before service, set up stations and plate to our standards, with focus on quality and teamwork.

The role offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package. You will work under the guidance of senior chefs, maintain hygiene, and help with stock rotation, all while learning advanced techniques and ensuring dietary

Qualificações

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1 or 2) is a plus but not essential.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for food and a desire to learn and grow.

Responsabilidades

• Assist chefs across all kitchen sections with dish preparation and production.
• Follow recipe guidelines, portion controls and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of prep areas, adhering to hygiene procedures.
• Support with receiving and storing deliveries, and HACCP labelling.
• Learn kitchen techniques including knife skills, basic sauces, vegetable prep and plating.
• Ensure mise en place is completed and communicated to the team.
• Take ownership of tasks and meet deadlines.
• Participate in team meals and ensure dietary needs are met.
